In trying to end myths and misconseptions about homosexuallity Steynburg born Funeka Soldaat wrote a book titled Uhambo which she will be launching on Saturday.
The book is about the author’s ́ journey as a black lesibian in a black community, her experiences and to empower black homosexual people within the black society.
Speaking to BCM News Soldaat said, she wrote the book to end the stereotypes that homosexuallity is un-African and to encourage other young people who are scared to come out about their sexuality and for them to know that anything is possible.
Soldaat added that she enjoyed reading at a young age,¨I enjoyed reading books about women’s issues especially lesbian stories¨
The proud homesexual woman is lauching her book on Saturday in Arches Building King Williams Town from 12:00-16:00.
