Former professional soccer player Shaun Haschick opened a coffee shop powered by Truth Coffee at Beacon Bay Crossing in East London.
According to Haschick, the owner of Silver Stallion clothing line he was born in East London and attended high school at Hudson Park. The coffee shop was established in June 2019 and it falls under Silver Stallion store.
Haschick conveyed that after school, he became a professional soccer player, he played for Moroka Swallows and stopped playing soccer in 2011 due to injury.
“When I was 14 years I discovered my passion for soccer and was selected to play for the SA under 14 and in matric I represented SA Schools Football. I stopped playing soccer because I battled with a few injuries and I was looking for some further inspiration,” said Haschick.
In addition Haschick expressed that his new ventures after soccer, were to create a clothing line which is Silver Stallion and later a coffee shop which was inspired by Truth Coffee from Cape Town.
Haschick’s future plans are to expand his coffee shop to Port Elizabeth and Grahamstown.
“At the moment we only have one branch, this is our main branch and we are hoping to expand our footprint to the whole of Eastern Cape,” he said.
