Saba Group of companies together with Buffalo City Metro Municipality and SABC will be hosting a Maskandi Music Festival at the Buffalo City Stadium, on Saturday.
The purpose of the event is to promote the spirit of culture and heritage amongst Africans and to unite BCM community in the spirit of Ubuntu.
Spokesperson for the Saba Group of companies Sindile Majikija said a survey revealed that BCMM is the only rural Metro in South Africa, then saw a need to entertain and educate people in the Metro about traditional music and culture.
The Saba Group of companies expressed gratitude to BCMM for its contribution to the festival.
“It shows that we have leaders that respect culture and traditional music. Our audience can expect artists like Khuzani, Mbuzeni, Amawele-kaMamtshawe, Inkunz’Emdaka, Naakmusiq and many more,” said Majikija.
