Ngqeleni born Ikhona Zwide now residing in Amalinda, owns Ndilive Cleaning Services that offers hygiene and cleaning solutions in and around East London.
According to the Walter Sisulu University Journalism and Media studies graduate and singer, the company was established in February 2020 as a response to the need in hygiene due to COVID-19.
”This was an inspiration from my love of cleaning and hygiene. The concept was developed in 2017,” she said.
Zwide added that the company offers cleaning disinfection and pest control.
“We also sell quality cleaning products,” she said.
Talking about the challenges of the business Zwide said they do not have proper equipment and tools to work as they face an increase in demand.
“We are in need of proper cleaning equipment so that we can thoroughly do our work,” she said.
The company advertises it’s business on social media but word of mouth is our biggest marketing.
“I don’t believe we have achieved success yet as we are just at the beginning of the journey,” said Zwide.
The cleaning services charges a variety of fees based on the client’s needs.
“We do both domestic and commercial cleaning so we quote based on the work needed,” she said.
When asked about the future of the business Zwide said she wants to lead the supply of contract cleaning solutions for major sectors in South Africa.
