Lusanda Ngaki ,34, from Dimbaza established Lathikwa Designs where she paints takkies.
According to Ngaki Lathikwa Designs
was established in 2017 as a hobby and later was turned into a business.
“The idea came from being lazy of having to wash my white takkies all the time because they’d get dirty so easily. So I decided to paint them,” said Ngaki.
Ngaki paints takkies, clothing and designs jewellery, earrings and bracelets which are made from empty tape rolls.
When asked by BCM News where she showcases her work, she said she advertises through social media via Facebook and Instagram.
“My products are manufactured through hard work, sacrifice and sleepless nights,” said Ngaki
Ngaki expressed she would like to collaborate with bigger brands and create job opportunities.
“I would like to work with bigger brands and create job opportunities for the youth,” she said.
