After a head-on collision at Highway Gardens on Mdantsane Access road in East London on Tuesday, three people lost their lives.
The Provincial Inspector TLE ARRIVE ALIVE Bandile Mlombile said, it is alleged that inconsiderate driving was the main contributing factor for the accident.
He added that a Toyota Tazz with three occupants two male and one female and a Toyota Avanza with two males, one female was from East London while a sedan Mercedes Benz with one male from Mdantsane.
“Toyota Tazz with three occupants collided head-on with Mercedes Benz with one occupant and knocked the side of the Avanza as both were travelling from the same direction two occupants from Tazz including driver and driver of Mercedes Benz were declared dead on scene while passenger female from Toyota Tazz sustained severe injuries including all Avanza occupants,” said Mlobile.
According to Mobile the injured were taken to Frere hospital for further medical management.
A case of culpable homicide had been opened for further investigations.
