The author of “Priceless Rose in the Master’s hand” View Busakwe, 31, from Mdantsane, urges women to unite against cyberbullying.
Busakwe wrote the book in 2020 when Covid-19 was at its peak, the book is about women loving and uplifting each other instead of all the resentment and jealousy they have towards one another.
The book was published on April 30 2021 and was presented at Johannesburg Granite Lounge where Kelly Khumalo’s was also launching her Controversy gin.
“I felt the urge to unite as women. We have so much hatred towards each other and the worst thing I hate is cyberbullying and abuse generally. (May Lufunos soul rest in peace) cyberbullying victim,” she said.
According to Busakwe, the book is particularly dedicated to Kelly Khumalo as she has been a victim of cyberbullying and there has been a lot of controversy surrounding her name.
“She has been a rock. I celebrate her. She is a warrior and a beloved of God, there is so much controversy around her name she suffered cyberbullying. I am just a voice in the wilderness shouting, “Let’s stop this hatred towards each other.”
It is high time we stand together and fight the real issues we are facing, GBV, single parenting, mental health and many more challenges we have than fighting against each other. I believe we can be a great army,” she said.
In addition, the author expressed that she is on a mission to see a girl child growing in a healthy and peaceful environment where women learn to embrace each other.
“I long for such unity, where we stop criticizing, envying, bullying each other, the pull-down syndrome we have towards each other as woman, can the almighty God help us to value each other I believe this world would be a better place, when another woman achieves you know it is a win to the ladies team rather than seeing each other as competitors and enemies, we can make a huge team of winners if we can unite,” she said.
