Police in Mdantsane has called on community members to come forward with information that might lead to the arrest of the perpetrators of the Bridledrift dam murders.
This is after a bypasser found a man and a woman’s bodies believed to be in their 20s tied up in the bushes on Monday morning.
Police spokesperson Captain Hazel Mqala has confirmed that the deceased bodies were found with gunshot wounds by a bypasser who was collecting recycle bottles in the area.
“Both bodies had two visible gunshot wounds in their upper bodies and their hands were tied at the back,” Mqala said.
She further said that police are working around the clock to ensure that they find the perpetrators.
“Two murder cases have been opened and the investigation is continuing. A 72-hour activation plan had been initiated to gather information, identify witnesses, and link suspects.”
Mqala has appealed to community members with information regarding the incident to kindly contact Crime Stop on 08600-10111 or Warrant Officer Balitafa on 071-475-2307.
