35-year-old event organizer and music publisher is on the verge of missing his life-long dream of becoming one of the South African business young stars to be trained by a Festival Academy in Belgium.

Sibusiso Molefe is struggling to get funds for traveling overseas and he is left with a few days before the training begins.

The training aims to equip young festival managers with the tools that they will need for them to host a successful Festival of international standard. The Academy is doing this through their program “Atelier for Young Managers.”

Sibusiso is the founding director of BANG Entertainment, a music publishing, and multimedia company. One of his dreams is to host an annual festival of national standards in the Buffalo City Metro.

Speaking to BCM NEWS about how he got the information about the lucrative opportunity Molefe said, “I applied for the training earlier this year after I saw the festival academy advertisement on the internet and I got the news that I am one of the three South Africans selected to be part of the training in June this year,” said Sibusiso.

Molefe is appealing to communities and businesses to support him by giving him donations as he is raising funds for this life-changing trip.

“I am appealing to everyone to assist me to fulfill my long-term dream. I misunderstood the contract and as a result, I did not realize that the flights are excluded from the amount I have already raised. Now I am only left with a few days and I don’t want to miss out on this opportunity of a lifetime,” said Molefe.

He further said that if he can get an opportunity to go to Belgium he will use the skills he attained to develop the province and create jobs for the unemployed youth.

“My company is for the people of the Eastern Cape and should this happen in the entire Eastern Cape province I will reap my rewards and I will host events that will create jobs for unemployed graduates,” he said.

Molefe has thanked some of the business owners and the public who have already contributed towards his accommodation and tuition.

“I would like to thank the following donors for their contribution that I have already paid to the Academy; Chuma Msamo of Msamo Attorneys, Buhle Salakuphathwa of X Royale Studios, and the public,” he said.

The training is set to take place in Cyprus, Belgium in October.
